55 shortlisted for national U23 football trials

THE national under-23 football team trials will be held in the first week of next month.

Fifty-five players have been shortlisted for the trials.

The team will be preparing for the OFC U23 Championship which will be held in Fiji from September 21 to October 6.

The winner of the tournament will qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Fiji won the last tournament in Vanuatu and qualified to play in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
