THE 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament has been called off just a few hours before the first pool match kicked off at the ANZ Stadium.

According to the tournament organisers, the directive of the cancellation of the tournament was beyond their control and they wouldn’t want to take any risks due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Twelve under 20 team and eight women’s team were present at the venue when the tournament organizers informed them of the cancellation.
