43 years of partnership

STRENGTHENING co-operation and solidarity with other developing countries has been a strategic priority for China’s diplomacy, says Chinese ambassador to Fiji Qian Bo.

Speaking at the 69th National Day reception held at the Suva Civic Centre on Monday night, Mr Qian spoke highly of the 43 years of China-Fiji relations which had resulted in fruitful achievements.

According to Mr Qian, these achievements included high-level exchanges that provided a significant guidance for bilateral relations and the strengthening of political mutual trust between the two counties “China will continue to promote its strategic partnership of mutual respect and common development with Pacific Island countries including Fiji,” said Mr Qian.
