MORE than 350,000 Australians visited Fiji last year.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said the visit arrivals were a huge opportunity in itself for investment in the tourism sector to augment different segments to capture the meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions (MICE) market.

“Our tourism sector is thriving; 365,000 Australians visited our shores in 2018 alone,” Mr Bainimarama said while speaking at the 25th Australia Fiji Business Forum in Brisbane, Australia, yesterday.

The theme for this year’s Forum is ‘Australia and Fiji: Business Partners Across Three Centuries’.
