The Asco Foundation has given $30,000 to the Sai Prema Foundation Fiji for the distribution of 500 food rations in the Western Division.

The foundation is the charitable arm of Toyota Tsusho (South Sea) Ltd.

Asco Motors Fiji CEO and The Asco Foundation trustee Craig Sims said helping families in the West was a priority.

“Many of them have been affected first by the closure of the tourism industry and now with the current pandemic lockdowns,” he said.

“The Asco Foundation wanted to reach out and assist as many families as they could and chose to work with the Sai Prema Foundation Fiji because of their impressive record of reaching out to all communities in Fiji.”

Asco Motors Fiji chairman Masahiro Kuwahara said the foundation was presently studying other programs to support the Fijian Government and efforts of non-profit partner organisations.
