THE Fiji Red Cross Society conducted first aid training for 3939 individuals throughout Fiji last year.

This was highlighted by FRCS operations manager Eseroma Ledua in an interview with this newspaper earlier this week

He said the training they conducted were for Pacific First Aid and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

“We have people who come in for a CPR training refresher, first aid in sports, advanced first aid and community first aid,” Mr Ledua said.

He said the first aid and CPR course training duration was for two days only.

“We also have first aid at sea training which is also for two days and if you have to take a refresher course with us, it’s only for a day,” he said.

Mr Ledua said it was important to receive first aid training because it would help save a life some day.
