SIXTY-NINE-YEAR-OLD Filimoni Muriduadua and his wife had to walk three miles from their home in Wailoa in Nakorotubu, Ra, to cast their vote at a pre-polling station in Nalidi Village yesterday.
Mr Muriduadua said they left their home around 4am.
He said they didn’t mind the distance they had to travel to cast their vote, knowing how important their vote was.
“I came today to come and vote for a better government,” he said.
He added that the election process was much easier compared with the last election in 2014.
“This year I feel that the process is new to me. It’s much easier compared with the last election.”
Mr Muriduadua said he was happy to cast his vote this year.
