A first timer worker, Saula Naivakacavu, 35, expressed his appreciation for both New Zealand employers and the Fijian Government for the opportunity.

“I am indeed grateful to be the first to be picked from village elders and to represent Nadoi Village from tikina Rewa is a blessing,” Mr Naivakacavu was quoted saying in the Government statement issued today.

“I also thank the Fijian Government and the employers for providing this employment opportunity. I have set up my goals and upon my return, I intend to achieve them.?
