A MAJOR supplier of some of the world’s renowned food brands, Yees Cold Storage, has not deviated from its social responsibility of assisting the needy in Fiji’s community.

This was evident in its recent distribution of $25,000 worth of hospital equipment and supplies to Nadi Hospital.

Company director Doreen Yee said being part of such an important community initiative was vital to them as a major business entity.

The handover was possible with the joint partnership made with Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital of Brisbane, Australia, and Neptune Shipping.

The equipment included four hospital beds, 23 hospital vital sign monitors, six wheelchairs, eight hospital walkers and 60 theatre and children’s gowns.

“These equipment and supplies will continue to help the hospital provide better care for the community,” Ms Yee said.

“We hope to continue to be able to assist Fiji communities with these donations and look forward to working with the hospitals and to identify other communities that are in need of these supplies.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Princess Alexandra Hospital of Brisbane, Australia, Neptune Shipping, C T Freight and members of the Kenani Uniting Church in Brisbane for their continued support, donation and generosity in working together to make this happen.”

Yees Cold Storage has an extensive range of frozen and chilled food products, dry goods and beverages and is the exclusive distributors for many world-renowned food and beverage brands, reinforced by one of the largest warehouse and distribution fleet in Fiji.
