Improving service delivery at ministry

THE Ministry of Fisheries welcomed its minister Semi Koroilavesau yesterday who reminded them that it was important that service delivery was improved so that the fishermen and those in the fisheries sector were able to reap its benefits.
At the welcome ceremony held at the Southern Cross Hotel in Suva yesterday Mr Koroilavesau said the ministry would strive to improve its service delivery to its stakeholders and customers.
“I have already spent 18 months with you all and I know that during my next term here with you, more positive developments will take place. We already have a dynamic team, all we need is to boost ourselves so that we are able to deliver effectively,” said Mr Koroilavesau.
“We also need to lift the image of the ministry and the way we serve our important customers which who are of course, our people.
“These next four years will be challenging and I sincerely hope that we will continue to work together to build the sector.”
Acting permanent secretary for Ministry of Fisheries, Naipote Katonitabua said they were privileged to have Mr Koroilavesau back with them for another four years and looked forward to the challenges ahead as they united to work together to achieve the required results.
