SIXTY women attending the Makoi Women’s Vocational Centre in Nasinu had the opportunity to showcase what they had learnt from the centre during an open day on Saturday.

The centre’s director Shahista Shazna Khan said the 60 women had completed their training at the centre.

“After every batch, we have our open day and then we have our graduation ceremony.

“So this was the last batch of the year, the fifth batch,” she said.

Ms Khan said these women were mainly involved in sewing, culinary certificates and hydroponic.

She said the main focus of the open day was to showcase all of the products and produce from the courses they took during their eight weeks of learning at the centre.

“Whatever they were able to make within the eight weeks they showcased during the open day.” The 60 women will be graduating from the centre this week.
