TWO-hundred and three new recruits were part of the Fiji Police Basic Recruit Course 02/18 pass-out parade today.

Out of the total number of recruits six officers are from Tuvalu while 197 are Fijians.

The Police Commissioner from Tuvalu Luka Falefou who was the chief guest congratulated the new recruits.

“To our newly graduates welcome to the police family or as it is known worldwide as the “Thin Blue Line”,” he said.

He reminded the new recruits that this was a service profession.

“It is your responsibility to protect and serve, what you do will have life long consequences for the citizens you deal with,” he said.
