The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School under-17 side secured a spot in the Vodafone Deans Trophy semi-finals after defeating Lelean Memorial School 27-24 in the quarter-finals yesterday.
Head coach Koroi Matadigo dedicated their win to all their fans and supporters that turned up to the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva to cheer the boys to victory.
“To all our fans and supporters that came here today, and even to those who were unable to make it, this win is for you,” he said.
“The boys did very well today, but we give thanks to God for giving us the strength to secure a win.
“They were able to execute all that we have been preparing over the past few weeks, and I am proud of their performance.”
