The SODELPA Youth Council has provided more than 600 signatures to the party’s management board to give the members an insight on the direction it should take and who to form a coalition with.

The Council does not support the idea of a coalition with the FijiFirst Party.

Earlier today, SODELPA campaign director Jope Koroisavou had gone live on his social media Facebook page to encourage party members and supporters to sign the petition.

Speaking to members of the media this afternoon, party supporter and a candidate in the 2022 General Election Faith Grace said: “We’ve given in 600-plus signatures from the our 24,000 of our voters that voted for SODELPA.”

Ms Grace confirmed of Mr Koroisavou’s arrest this morning and said he would be released at 4pm today after the management board meeting.

“I want to thank our hero and youth president from Ba West, Ben Daveta from Sabeto who has taken in our petition to the management board to go and let them know of how our voters want them to vote.”
