The People’s Alliance Party leader Sitiveni Rabuka says the PA-National Federation Party meeting with the SODELPA management board was “very very cordial”.
He said they had a “very good meeting”.
“We came to present and now they (SODELPA management board) will have to consider our presentation,” Mr Rabuka told members of the media outside the Southern Cross Hotel in Suva in the last hour.
NFP leader Professor Biman Prasad said he was “very excited after the discussions and after the presentation”.
He says they are “absolutely confident” of the partnership they were trying to forge for the next government.
Items in the coalition agreement would be released after the meeting.
The partners said they expected a decision today.
The FijiFirst team had just entered the meeting venue and included party leader Voreqe Bainimarama, general secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Defence Minister Inia Seruiratu and Fisheries Minister Semi Koroilavesau.
