Fiji’s Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem today accredited Australian parliamentarian Josh Wilson, Indonesian diplomat Muhsin Syihab and India’s Dharmendra Sharma as co-leads of the 2022 General Election Multinational Observer Group (MOG).

According to a statement from the Fijian Elections Office (FEO) earlier this evening, the SOE welcomed the newly-elected officials to Fiji and also provided a brief introduction of the Fijian election.

“Since elections in Fiji are observed by observers from several different countries, it provides the MOG with a diverse range of electoral knowledge and experience to observe and evaluate the processes as carried out in Fiji comparatively with many different countries,” Mr Saneem said in the statement.

“We look forward to the effective participation of the MOG in the 2022 General Election.”
