A possible coalition on whether the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) will join the FijiFirst Party or the People’s Alliance Party and National Federation Party is still a work in progress.

SODELPA leader Viliame Gavoka clarified this in a press conference this afternoon saying the party will need to understand the gravity of what is required and they will do it with due process in accordance with good practices and to be approved by the management board.

Mr Gavoka said they have non-negotiable issues and those that they can negotiate on.

“We are pretty much an iTaukei party. Our base is the indigenous people of this country and their issues are always paramount with us and that is very much part of those issues that we will not negotiate on,” Mr Gavoka said.
