THE trial for a 28-year-old man accused of murdering a child in March this year has been set for March 30-April 3, 2020.
Christopher Narayan is charged with one count of murder and appeared before judge Justice Vinsent Perera today.
It is alleged that he murdered two-year-old Jasleen Jasprit Kumar on March 4, 2019, in Nakasi.
Mr Narayan was charged with his partner Louisa Kumar but the charges against her were dismissed by the court after the State had filed a nolle prosequi for her.
State lawyer Yogesh Prasad informed the court that there were no issues before the trial.
The court also heard that the admitted facts had been filed on the matter.
The matter has been adjourned to January 31, 2020.
