2020 Tokyo Olympics: Fijiana lose first match

The Fijiana side was edged 12-5 by France in its first match at the Tokyo Olympics today.

Fiji started the match well with a try to Viniana Ravai as they led 5-nil.

France replied with a try to take a slender 7-5 lead at halftime.

The French added another try in the second spell to increase their lead to 12-5.

The Fijiana did get opportunities to score more tries but failed in the end.

Fiji plays Canada in their next match at 7.30pm.
