The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) today launched the 2020 Skipper Cup competition with the presence of executives of the eight teams that will compete in 14 rounds.

FRU chief executive officer John O’Connor acknowledged the sponsors for maintaining their end of the bargain and continue to sponsor the competition.

“In tough economic times we are grateful to CJ Patel for believing in rugby and supporting the clubs and the competition operations,” he said.

The competition kicks off next week Saturday June 25 with the anticipated double header, between Skipper Cup champions Suva and Farebrother Sullivan trophy holders BLK Nadroga at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
