A YOUNG weightlifting squad with a big heart and determination will represent Fiji to the Pacific Games in Samoa.
Determined to do their best against the best in the Pacific, Weightlifting Fiji team coach Henry Elder said his athletes were ready to give their best for their county.
“Most of these young athletes are traveling overseas for the first time and experience overseas competition,” Elder said.
“They may be young and developing but I have not doubt that these same athletes in another two to three years will be medal prospects for Fiji in any competition locally or international.”
Meanwhile, five men and five women’s team will be representing Fiji in Samoa in weightlifting.
