FIJI Beach Volleyball Federation is slowly making plans and changes towards their build up for the 2019 Pacific games in Apia, Samoa.

The federation has appointed new coaches for both the men and women’s team and are beginning fitness tests as well as training sessions for those interested players who are vying for a spot in the final team.

Federation director Josh Tulele said they had started organising training sessions and a series of tests towards the Pacific games.

“We have started it early in order to give time for everybody that is not on the proper fitness level.

We want to give a fair chance to everybody to compete for a spot in the final team,” said Tulele.

The federation has set out weekly training and competitions that will help in the player’s skills and fitness level.

The new womens coach is Mereula Meya and mens coach is Apenisa Saukuru.
