2019 Pacific Games: 13 nations compete in judo

THIRTEEN nations will compete for medals in the sport of judo over a two-day event beginning today.

Athletes will be keen to demonstrate their skills after the sports was absent from the Port Moresby XV 2015 Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.

There are nine men’s events and nine women’s events so 18 gold medals will be decided in two days of fierce competition.

Team Fiji in the sport are: Nemani Takayawa, Ravi Naidu, Sairusi Valaibulu, Blossom Yee Joy, Elizabeth Valentine, Keresi Farouk, Nathalyn Takayawa, Ruth Batabua, Shanice Takayawa, Veniana Ravesi.
