2019 Pacific Games: 12 countries compete in Taekwondo
6 July, 2019, 10:00 pm
THIS is the seventh time that Taekwondo has featured at the Pacific Games.
The sport was originally introduced in Korea and was introduced at the Olympics in Sydney in 2000.
A total of 12 countries will be competing in both individual and team events at the Harvest Centre in Lotopa at the Samoa games.
Meanwhile, the ‘Beautiful Samoa, keep it clean and plastic free’ campaign and the ‘Greening of the Samoa 2019 Pacific Games’ project aims to reduce the plastics that are polluting our water ways, oceans, and villages and is done in partnership through the Greening of the Games Committee.
Around 250 fresh, cold, filtered water stations will be spread across the venues and everyone is encouraged to bring along reusable bottles and fill up.
Thanks to Games sponsors, Pure Pacific Water and Samoa Pure Water.
