2019 Coke Games: Six national records broken

SIX records were broken at this year’s Coca-Cola Games.

All of which were from the field events.

The six records are:

  • Shawntell Lockington of Xavier College broke the senior girls high jump meet record of 1.64m. Her new record is 1.68m.
  • Orisi Navavau of Marist Brothers High School broke the intermediate boys shotput meet record of 15.01m. His new record is 15.99m.
  • Joana Vakasobuduru of Sigatoka Methodist High School broke the sub-junior girls long jump meet record of 4.99m. The new record she set is 5.07m.
  • Christian Taukei of Marist Brothers High broke the sub-junior boys discus meet record of 38.85m. Taukei’s new record is 38.93m.
  • Amy Peter of Jai Narayan College broke the sub-junior girls shotput meet record of 10.97m. Her new record stands at 11.47m.
  • Vilimoni Susunikoro of Ratu Kadavulevu School broke the sub-junior boys javelin meet record of 47.63m. His new record is 50.52m.
