THE 2019/2020 Budget sets out a series of critical measures to ensure Fiji’s police officers are properly trained and equipped to carry out world-class care, says Attorney General and Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

“We are continuing with our five-year restructure of the Fiji Police Force, regularising another 995 special constables to give them proper training and equipment, and of course, compensation for the critically-important service they provide to the Fijian people,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.

“Upgrading of new police stations in Lautoka, Nadi, Nakasi will also continue in the next financial year.”
