2019/2020 National Budget: Government spending dedicated to building certainty
7 June, 2019, 9:00 pm
EVERY dollar of new expenditure in the 2019/2020 Budget is dedicated to one of five fundamental pillars – strengthening law and order, protecting our natural environment, empowering young Fijians, spurring technology and immigration and building certainty in an uncertain world.
Delivering the national budget in Suva this hour, Fiji’s Attorney General and Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the Budget will pave the way towards even greater triumph for our economy, our businesses, and our people – and ensures resilience in a changing climate and global market.
The FijiFirst Government’s vision of prioritising the prosperity of Fijians and protecting the well-being of generations to come has led to a ‘future facing’ Budget that builds on the unprecedented achievements of the Fijian economy, he added.
