THE 2019/2020 Budget has allocated $54.4 million to Fiji’s judiciary.

Attorney General and Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said aside from operational costs, the funds would cover the completion of refurbishment works at the Nasinu Court Complex.

“We will continue to increase the number of judges and magistrates serving the judiciary,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.

“The judiciary will develop an e-finance system that allows litigants to file actions online, track litigants’ process and lodge relevant court documents.”
