SANZAAR says it is making progress in its discussions on the future of the competition.

A statement from the joint venture said the partners met in Singapore this week for a very productive meeting on the future of its competitions.

“The discussions are challenging due to the complexities of the four individual markets across multiple time zones and the jurisdictions in which we operate, however we are making strong progress,” the statement said.

There have been speculations on the future of the competition, one that it should be a trans-Tasman only competition and leaving South Africa out, which generates a lot of television revenue.

SANZAAR executives will meet again in September.
