THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team demolished Argentina 43-7 in the Rugby World Cup Sevens quarter-final at AT & T Stadium this afternoon.

Toulon pair Semi Radradra and Josua Tuisova formed a lethal combination at outside backs as they cut open the defensive line with powerful runs.

Radradra set up three tries in the first spell breaking the first line of defence then offloading the ball to supporting team mates to finish the movement’

While the Radradra and Tuisova did the damages in the backs it was the skills and athleticism of their big forwards of Semi Kunatani, Kalione Nasoko and Paula Dranisinukulsetting the platform by winning aerial battles and forwards contests.

Skipper Jerry Tuwai combined well with Vatemo Ravouvou confusing oppositions with uncanny footworks before super subs Amenoni Nasilasila, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Alosio Naduva lifted the momentum in the second spell.

Head coach Gareth Baber made some timely impact in the forwards with Leone Nakarawa and Jasa Veremalua adding firepower to Fiji’s game.

Argentina had no answer to Fiji’s breathtaking performance and scored a consolation try later in the game.

Nasilasila scored two tries for Fiji with the Naduva, Tuisova, Nasoko, Nakarawa and Dranisinukula scoring a try each. Ravouvou and Nasilasila converted two tries each to secure a huge win.

Fiji will face New Zealand in the semi-final at 8.02am tomorrow
