WHILE some voters board a public transport to get to their polling stations, others have had to wade across rivers or trek through mountainous terrains.

Makitalena Vunisa, 52, had to travel 4km from her farm house just to cast her vote.

The Fiji Times caught up with the Koroboya woman as she hurried along the road to get to the Polling Station at St Vincent College in Tailevu.

“I traveled all the way from the farm house just to be here to vote.

” I would like a government that hears our voice and is always there for us the people

“We all want a good government and I hope the government we have voted for will deliver as they have promised.”
