VOTERS  braved the wet weather to cast their votes at the Ratu Filimoni Loco Memorial School in Korovou, Tailevu.

Villagers from Kawakasa, Nakorouto/ Navuca, Nayawasara and Sawakasa turned up in numbers for the elections.

Burerua villager Ana Radakua,43,  said this is her time to vote for her preferred government.

“Even though there are a lot of parties, my decision is based on who I think will take us forward and who will think of us the iTaukei people and have our best interests. Past governments have come and gone and  it is up to us to choose whom we want to take us forward in the next four years,” she said.

A total 402 voters are expected to cast their votes at the school polling station
