2018 General Elections: Heavy rain stops voters

SEVANAIA Kakaivalu of Viria in Naitasiri said this year’s elections was different from 2014.

He said the 2014 elections was convenient for people in the area because a shed was built for people to wait in.

This year’s elections was affected the heavy rain, said Mr Kakaivalu.

Voters trickled in at the polling station and many waited at home for the rain to stop.

More than 600 people have already cast their votes at Viria Public School.
