THE Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem is urging Fijian Elections Office (FEO) officials who are based at polling venues to thoroughly check details of every voter.

He said his had been receiving numerous queries from registered voters today.

Mr Saneem said one of the issues constantly raised was the absence of voters’ names from the voters’ list.

“When we received the voter Identification Number(ID),we queried this and found that the voter is on the list,” Mr Saneem said.

“So my strong message to FEO staff on the field is to take your time and look up the details of every voter so that the voters name is actually found on the list.”

Mr Saneem stressed that if a voter received a text from 1500, then their names were definitely on the voters list.

He also urged Fijians to make use of the FEO assistance platforms.

Meanwhile, the polling station at Lodoni Primary School in Tailevu is closed at this stage due to flooding.
