THE Electoral Commission chairperson Suresh Chandra submitted the Writ of Election to the President Jioji Konrote this afternoon at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

In receiving the Writ of Election, Mr Konrote acknowledged the Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem for a job well done.

“I have followed the voting processes on polling day very closely and it was easier and more transparent,” said Mr Konrote.

He said Mr Saneem and his team have been in the forefront of this election process.

The President acknowledged the Fijians who had performed their civic duties by turning up to vote on polling days.

Mr Konrote said the people have chosen the individuals to lead them for the next four years.
