AT LEAST two major bus companies in Labasa have their buses servicing their routes for the general election.

Parmod Enterprises Ltd manager Edwin Chand said they were operating a normal holiday run together with election supplementary runs.

“We have organised skeleton trips for our areas. There are few people boarding the buses, so it depends when there is enough people on board, then the buses departs,” Mr Chand said.

Dilip Chand and Son Ltd director Rohinil Chand shared similar sentiments.

“Yes, we do have election runs for our routes. Bus routes are currently going on. Bus departs depending on the number of people. Some depart every one hour and some every half an hour,” Mr Rohinil said.

No comments were able to be obtained from Waiqele Buses at this hour.

Taxi services are also running in the northern town.
