MEMBERS of the public have been turning up in numbers to listen to FijiFirst candidates as the party continues with its campaign across the Western Division.

For the past few days, party general secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has been joined by other candidates, talking and listening to voters across Lautoka.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the present Government led by Prime Minister and FijiFirst leader Voreqe Bainimarama had done a lot for the people.

“He has provided security, iTaukei land is secure now, everybody’s rights are secure, we recognise unique culture, customs and traditions, the tenant’s rights are protected,” he said.

“Everyone is called a Fijian now. This is a very important thing, you should understand that through common and equal citizenry, you have so many rights and you are considered equal.

“When people apply for jobs, they are treated equally. If you’re the right person for the job, you get the job.”
