THE Fijian Elections Office had received an objection from the Fiji Labour Party against the involvement of Solicitor-General Sharvada Sharma in discussing legal matters surrounding force majeure.

This was revealed by Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem at a press conference in the past hour,  who said FLP had no basis in their objection.

“Whilst we believe that is an inteference in the independence of the Fijian Elections Office in getting legal advice, we have written back to Labour Party and told them so,” Mr Saneem said.

He also said that there were other issues faced by polling agents around the country which they had attended to, to be resolved as soon as it was received.
