VOTERS from the Buca Bay area in Cakaudrove on Vanua Levu walked and shared costs to hire vehicles to their polling stations.

Navonu villager Bukanisa Naivalu said they left their homes at about 6am today to be part of election process at Navonu Primary School.

“All went well at the station and some of us travelled here by vehicle and they shared costs, which is okay because taking part in the election is important,” Mr Naivalu said.
