2018 General Election: 6000 postal voting application received

MORE than 6000 postal voting applications have been received by the Fijian Elections Office as of 3pm today.

The postal voting application closed at 5pm.

“As at 3pm today, we received a total of 6657 Postal Vote Applications,” FEO acting director strategic development and communications Edwin Nand said.

“Out of these, a total of 5811 applications have been approved and one application was rejected as it was incomplete and the person had to re-apply.”

Mr Nand said they were still processing 845 applications and their status would be known at a later stage.
