2018 General Election: 253,664 votes recorded so far

A TOTAL of 253,664 votes have been recorded by the Fijian Elections Office from phone call results so far.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said from results received by the FEO as at 11.33pm, the Western Division had the highest voter count of 49 per cent.

He said this was followed by the Northern Division with 43 per cent and the Central and Eastern Division having 36 per cent of voter count respectively.

Mr Saneem confirmed the FEO has processed ballots from 295 polling stations out of the 606 polling stations in the Central Division, 338 polling stations out of the 404 polling stations in the Northern Division, 192 out of the 485 polling stations in the Eastern Division and 211 stations in the Western Division out of the 649 polling stations within the division.

Mr Saneem said they were yet to receive any counting result for any postal ballots.
