THE mataqali Lomanikoro of Colo-i-Suva Village marked another milestone after the groundbreaking ceremony of their hall.

Chairperson of the mataqali trust Sikeli Navuso said numerous developments had been happening and this was made possible through the quarry partnership they had with Flame Tree Developments (Fiji) Ltd.

He said for years, the clan had been assisting families in ensuring that they built their homes better and this was done through the revenue they received from the business partnership.

Mr Navuso said the cost of the hall would be about $200,000.

He also highlighted that the mataqali had outlined a few development plans and they were now working to ensure that it was fulfilled.

Mr Navuso said the mataqali was fortunate to have a source of revenue and they would continue to utilise the revenue that they received to improve the standard of living of each family.

He said after the completion of the mataqali hall, they would begin small business enterprises.
