$20,000 donation towards PM’s Relief Fund

A donation of $20,000 was made towards the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to assist Government with the COVID-19 pandemic today.

According to the Fijian Government, the donations were made by David Group and Soi Ian Charity Association of China, which are both overseas companies based in Fiji. Both companies made donations of $10,000 each.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama received the donations today.

Prime Minister Bainimarama, on behalf of the Fijian Government, expressed his sincere gratitude towards the cash donation and said that it will greatly assist Government in their efforts to eliminate COVID-19.

The Head of Government also expressed his appreciation of an earlier donation of 2000 test-kits which was received by Fiji’s Consulate office in Shanghai last week.

In response, CEO for David Group Gang Jin said the company is happy to provide assistance in efforts to eliminate COVID-19 in Fiji.
