A company is offering a $1000 reward for any information on how the entire roof of a building it owns was removed.
The roof of the house located at Namaka hill in Nadi was removed without the knowledge of Challenge Engineering, the company that owns the property.
“The house was vacant for some time and we hadn’t physically checked on the property,” said Anit Gounder, a manager with the company.
“Some people have removed the entire roof and we were surprised to find out it was missing.”
He said a report had been lodged at the Namaka Police Station.
“People in the neighborhood thought those removing the roof had our approval.”
Mr Gounder said the value of the materials lost was estimated at $60,000.
