DISCUSSIONS at the 52nd Asian Development Bank’s annual meeting to be held in Fiji next year will give Fiji and the Pacific the opportunity to raise issues affecting the countries and showcase their achievements to member countries.

Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum launched the logo for the meeting and presented a short film showcasing what Fiji had to offer the visitors.

The response from the large crowd of guests and ADB officials present at the event was overwhelming. Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said Fiji had hosted several big meetings but never one with 3000 people.

He said their discussions at this meeting had been useful and would help them organise a successful meeting. ADB vice-president Stephen Groff said there were lots of issues to cover next year and they looked forward to a successful meeting.
