Fiji to support PNG at APEC

PLANS are currently underway on ways Fiji could support the upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting to be held in PNG at the end of this year.Minister for Defence and National Security Ratu Inoke Kubuabola this week led a government delegation to the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Police Ministers’ Meeting in Papua New Guinea.

He met with other regional leaders to also discuss regional policing and cooperation that could be made.
Ratu Inoke also visited Tung Naparau where four Fijian missionaries were martyred and the War graves where he paid respect to the 35 Fijian soldiers who are buried at the Bita Paka War cemetery.

He was also accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho, senior RFMF and Police officials and the Ministry of Defence personnel.
