A LEADING Fijian insurance provider has embarked on a lucrative long-term investment which will involve the establishment of its newest $15 million centre in Nadi.
The company — SUN Insurance — has commenced construction work at its “SUN Centre” at Legalega, Nadi — a project which is expected to spread its reach further in the Western Division.
A statement from the company yesterday revealed that the project would employ more than 200 people over its construction period of 18 months. Architectural and engineering firm Larsen Holtom Maybin (LHM) has been engaged to design the five-level exclusive office complex, which is being built just 800 metres from the Nadi International Airport.
The super-structure will be built by family-owned Kanta Builders Ltd (KBL), marking its first multi-level project. This, according to SUN Insurance, reflected its philosophy of promoting local businesses to reach new heights.
KBL managing director Pardeep Singh said they were thrilled to be part of the project and were looking forward to being part of a quality team gathered by SUN to deliver the SUN Centre.
Project architect Mark Swamy of LHM said the five-level building would be one of the more sought after office accommodations in Nadi.
He revealed that the complex would incorporate cutting edge technology with special emphasis on energy efficiencies, occupants safety, quality materials and workmanship.
It is expected that the same design philosophy will be adopted by SUN Centre tenants to ensure that this complex is the premier office choice in Nadi.
