FULTON Hogan Hiways Joint Venture staff can now apply first aid skills while working in high-risk jobs.
Fulton Hogan Hiways Joint Venture safety and training coordinator Tawake Kolinisau made this comment after Handy Training Fiji (HTF) assisted and trained 120 staff to become first aiders.
The two-day training has now enabled those staff to gain hands-on experience and better understand their role as first aiders.
“We wanted our staff to possess basic first aid training skills as they work in high-risk jobs, as well as wanting them to be basically equipped with first aid,” Mr Kolinisau said.
Meanwhile, HTF owner and managing director Andy Eames said staff members were extremely receptive to all the training exercises they undertook.
