The Republic of the Fiji Military Force received a cheques of about $10,000 for sponsorship from Subrails Furniture Ltd to help in its Ratu Sukuna Bowl preparation.
The $10,000 cheque presentation was a buildup towards the FMF Ratu Sukuna Bowl tournament that will be held on December 17 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
The 2021 Ratu Sukuna Bowl official sponsorship signing marked a very important partnership between the RFMF and the company.
Subrails has a long history in supporting rugby in Fiji.
Subrails director sales Shiva Gounder said they were happy to continue their support with the Army team for the second year.
“This year when we were approached by the RFMF team, we were quite excited to renew our partnership again,” he said.
“The theme for this year’s Ratu Sukuna Bowl is ‘Together we can.’ It reflects the spirit of our beloved nation that we can navigate the challenge of this pandemic.
“As we are all aware of the havoc cost of this second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hard yards put in by the brave frontliners of our country towards combatting this virus earlier this year.
“Without the security forces, this would not have been possible. We are proud to support this tournament which is held annually and we wish the Army the very best in the coming Ratu Sukuna Bowl.”
Deputy Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Captain Humphrey Tawake spoke on behalf of the Army
team.
“As the theme speaks for itself, we can say that we have done a lot over the years,” Tawake said.
“On behalf of the Commander RFMF and all personnel along with our families, we would like to thank you for the support.”
