VODAFONE Fiji has invested more than $100,000 in a new mobile-based lottery game for its customers.
The PICK 6 lottery platform was launched in Suva yesterday and sanctioned under class two gaming licence of the Gaming Decree 2009.
The initiative aims to revolutionise the gaming space in Fiji. With a customer base of more than 750,000 people, Vodafone Fiji Ltd says about 65 per cent will be eligible to play the game.
Vodafone Fiji chief marketing officer Sanjeewa Perera said customers were not required to visit any lottery outlet or wait in line to order a lottery ticket.
“Vodafone and Inkk customers are eligible to play by texting *888# ($1.50 charge per entry) and choosing six numbers to enter the lottery. The draw will be done at the end of every month with cash prizes.”
“We have made this very convenient and simple for our customers to participate from anywhere and at any time.”
